Formed in Toowoomba in 2023, The Gypsy Jumbucks once again bring the energy, virtuosity, and spirit of Django and Grappelli to the Toowoomba Jazz Society. This special performance also marks Toowoomba Jazz legend Nina Close’s debut appearance on bass at the Toowoomba Jazz Society, joining Matt Westwood on violin, Ian Craig on guitar, and Ebony Rosier on flute and vocals. Together, they will transport you to another time and place with vibrant rhythms, swinging melodies, and dazzling improvisation.
Joining the band for this special event are an outstanding lineup of guest artists: Toowoomba locals Charles Maxwell on Violin, Brian Wright on Mandolin, and all the way from Brisbane: Jane Way on Violin.
