About me

Music teacher

I am a professional musician and music teacher based in Toowoomba. I primarily teach violin and piano, but I am also available to teach viola, music theory, musical composition, and music technology. I hold a Bachelor of Music with Honours from The University of Melbourne, and an Associate Diploma in Music from the Australian Music Examinations Board.

I currently teach at Fairholme, where I run music lessons, conduct the Senior Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Strings, the Junior String Orchestra, and the Year 2 immersion string program. I also teach at Mater Dei, where I run music lessons, and conduct the String Orchestra.

In Melbourne I ran my own music studio, and taught instrumental music at at Casey Grammar School, Officer Secondary College, and Cranbourne East Secondary College.

Performer

I am a professional musician and music teacher based in Toowoomba. I play violin professionally, but also enjoy playing piano, viola, melodica, ukulele, guitar, and percussion.

I am the lead violinist and band manager in the Gypsy Jumbucks, and I have performed as Concert Master of the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra. I regularly perform at the weekly Irish session at the Irish Club Hotel, and I run the weekly gypsy jazz jam session at Urban Ground Cafe.

While living in Melbourne I performed with many orchestras and bands. I have worked as Concert Master of the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra, the Surrey Hills Orchestra, Eltham OrchestraGilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria, and Spark Productions Australia. I also performed regularly with Melbourne's premier Mariachi band Mariachi Los Romanticos for functions and corporate events, and played with the Irish band T-ÁDH.
